Reviews for Trattoria Trestevere in Montreal, Quebec
Highly recommend this restaurant. Ravioli and cannelloni were out of this world (and we’ve been to Italy). Service was excellent. Great ambiance, perfect for a dinner conversation. Go check it out. We went twice in a row!
I recently dined at Trattoria Trestevere and had an excellent experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the service was top-notch, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the gnocchi – it was wow. Overall, a fantastic place for a great meal! Will come back for sure
Amazing food. Tasted like the home cooked favourites I grew up enjoying. Super friendly service too. Portion and quality was worth the price. I enjoyed the veal parmigiana with upgrade to gnocchi as a side (smooth as butter). My date had the seafood linguine and finished his plate (even though ... he was full two thirds of the way through). I can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much Read more
If it's authentic, tasty Italian food you're after then Trattoria Trestevere, on Crescent Street in downtown Montreal, is worth checking out. The cozy interior has a distinct European vibe, a great start to your visit. My starter, a Mixed Salad, was fresh and simple. I followed that with an exceptional Chicken Parmigiana. The ... chicken was moist and breaded just right. The tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese were so tasty and fresh. The pasta too was fresh and cooked to perfection. For dessert I tried the Fried Gnocchi, dusted with icing sugar, on a thin bed of Hazelnut sauce. Delicious! My only caution was a surprising lack of attention to serving etiquette. Each of the three or four Staff that served us, while generally pleasant, reached directly in front of me on a few occasions. I would certainly return to try other items on the menu. Read more
#KitchenNightmares need I say more… Managers/owners yelling at their workers and hovering over as we tried to eat our food. Managers/owners were pressuring us and others to order. The menu was unclear as to what ingredients are in the dishes. When asking the owners/managers what is in the dish they get annoyed. There ... is no real vegetarian menu items, since even the Caesar salad included bacon, which was not mentioned on the menu or by the owners/managers. The pasta dishes on the menu doesn’t list what the filling used in the dishes. Many of them included Veal after asking the owners/managers. In their restaurant description they mentioned that they have over 20 years of experience, but seems like they lost their passion. The dishes were authenticity bad and disgusting 🤮🤢 All dishes ordered were bad and had a nasty after taste. I would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. Ordering food here is like throwing your money away. As mentioned from other reviewers, this is a tourist trap and you will regret eating here. Read more
