The portions were quite small and choice was scarce. Quality was under my expectations considering the price. Tried asking for wine suggestions and waitress couldn’t say more than “red would be better than white”. Also the service was sub par. There was a mistake with the invoice and the waitress ... looked angry at us for wanting it to be fixed. Read more
Reserve your table in advance! It began bad, went well, ended ok. They took 15 min just to gave me the menu, but ok. The staff helped me when they realized this, they suggested me some wines by the glass, I ordered an Arancino (it was good) and a Matriciana (it ... was ok). My overall experience were not the best, even though I think it might be a good Italian option. Read more
Not writing reviews very often but this restaurant definitely deserves a few words! We visited Montreal on the Formula 1 weekend and we stumbled upon this gem. Homemade pasta, fresh ingredients great and friendly service (Lia knows the menu in and out) the chef/owner has a 20+yrs experience (and he will come ... at your table to say hello) WHAT ELSE CAN YOU ASK FOR when you go out for dinner?! Enjoy! Read more
The restaurant at this point is only a few months old and was recommended to us as one of the best new restaurants in Montreal. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a mixed of traditionalism and minimalism. The restaurant seats about 30-40 in total, but with comfortable space between tables. The ... service is really warm and you get the feeling that you're dining with someone's family. The waitresses were nice and respectful all night, albeit a bit inattentive when you're trying to get their attention. The appetizers we tried were nice and varied, and all offered something distinctive from one another. Nothing all that unique here that you couldn't get elsewhere, so I would recommend ordering one of the meal plates to taste, because their pasta was good. The main plates were all really tasty, with the exception of the clam, which I thought was a little bland. Their bread was nicely grilled and, as silly as it sounds, was the most unique part of the whole experience. The price was in the upper end of appropriate. Not crazy expensive, but certainly not affordable, especially for the caliber. Overall, the pasta dishes are the reason anyone should come here. It has an authentic feel, but ultimately not much to set it apart from other places. Read more
Really good pastas, fresh from the chef kitchen!! Took the truffle pastas, it was delicious. Only downside, no desert really... few options.
