Definitely not a family oriented restaurant. Let me start by saying there is not an accessible entrance for a stroller or wheelchair. Second of all, as soon as we got in the server (not sure if also the owner?) asked us if my 2.5 years old child was noisy. What? ... Yup, he asked if my chIld was noisy because he’s not allowed to have kids in the bar room and didn’t want to dirty the big dining room since he didn’t have enough people. We should have left at that point but being pregnant, tired and hungry we just wanted to get some food and leave ASAP.. Third of all, the food wasn’t the greatest. Excellent food. The veal meatballs were wonderful. The calamari superb. Also had linguine and spaghetti pasta with meat sauce, very good. The service was curtuous and quick. I only gave the restaurant three stars because the server did not replace the cutlery after the first course. He simply moved our ... forks and knives off the used plates to the side to be reused on our second course. This is Very sloppy and I hate this habit practised by many restaurants. Read more

The service and food were excellent! I had the veal scallopini and he had the cannelloni. We started with the calamari was delicious. We brought our 3.5 year old daughter, and the owner made a fuss and made her smile the whole night. It was a lovely experience!

My wife, son and I were looking for a good Italian restaurant to eat at and we were quite happy with La Capannina. The owner actually set us up at a great table at the front and he also served us. He was quite helpful suggesting a good wine to ... accompany our dinner. I had the grilled veal and it was really good. We were the only ones in the restaurant for dinner on a weekday. The waiter smelled bad like he was drinking and my husband saw him have a glass of wine. I don't know if that's the cause of the smell I don't drink but it was pretty bad. I ... kept gagging every time he came to our table. To add to that, the garbage was taken out of the front door right in front of us. A very disgusting experience, the food didn't taste that great either, I couldn't wait to leave. Read more
