During our visit to Restaurant Gandhi, we sampled the Chicken Tikka, Veg Rogan, and Veg Biryani. The overall experience was a mixed bag. The Chicken Tikka had a nice smoky flavor and was well-cooked, but it lacked the vibrant seasoning typically expected from this dish. It felt a bit underwhelming in ... terms of spices. The Veg Rogan was flavorful with a rich, aromatic gravy. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, retaining a slight crunch which added to the texture. The portion size was generous and satisfying. The Veg Biryani was decent, with fragrant rice and a good mix of vegetables. While it was enjoyable, it could have used a bit more seasoning to bring out the full array of spices that a biryani is known for. Service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it a pleasant place to dine. Overall, Restaurant Gandhi offers a reasonable dining experience. Read more
This is an amazing place for food, ambience, taste and service. Md. Faruk Ahmed, the owner is phenomenal. He gives attention to each and every table which is commendable. Must visit this place. Honestly! The worst experience ever I’ve had at an Indian restaurant was this. Not just the portion sizes but the basic etiquette of a staff member made me think about if anything at this restaurant was Indian. The chicken Tikka that was served as 4 slim round slices of chiseled ... single piece sold at $12.95. That portion was not even 20gms of chicken. Just one item I would recommend is Vindaloo Chicken. This one dish was 9/10. Read more
We found just what we were looking for, a great Indian restaurant. This place was perfect. We had a fabulous dinner, and the staff was wonderful. You must try their garlic Naan. It's was the best we had ever eaten.
I had the chicken cari and it came with a basmati rice and I was shocked by how tasty it was. By far the best elegant Indian restaurant in Montreal. AMAZING!!!!
