First things first - they haven't changed their name yet. They no more have a sign board for Madurai. It's called Dosas and curries. For a place called Dosas and curries, the Dosas were so inauthentic. We ordered 4 Dosas - Chettinad masala dosa, onion masala dosa, egg omlette dosa and ... channa masala dosa. 1. The batter isn't fresh. Too granular and not suited for a dosa. 2. The coconut chutney tasted stale. 3. Wayyy too much masala (I'm guessing chat/garam masala) in the channa dosa. We ordered 2 kalakkis. They weren't on the menu and the staff was kind enough to make it but that had chat masala loaded as well. Took my parents for a birthday lunch and it was quite disappointing! Worst food I ever ate in this restaurant. This place is known for good, quality economic food, but in the past two months the quality had went down so badly. The hygiene was so poor, there were flies and eating cutlieries were stained. Won't go again, untill the customer ... service makes note to correct these problems. I thought chicken chukka was a speciality here, but to my surprise it was one of the bad. The chicken pieces in chicken butter masala were raw, hard. Not happy with chutneys served. Told them twice about the potato stuffed in masala dosa that it is spoiled. They served the masala potato even without tasting it.

Had ordered veg noodles, Mysore masala dosa and gobi Manchurian. Was not impressed except for Gobi Manchurian. The dosa was far from being Mysore masala dosa and masala was burnt. Noodles were ok looked like salad but tasted ok ... was not impressed though. Too pricey for the taste.
