Appa’s Bakery and Catering - Montreal, Quebec

Appa's has switched ownership a few times now. The current owners make decent food and I enjoy their vegetarian thali dish (which comes with 4-5 vegan curries, as per the cook). The roti bread is thicker than I like but its good (however it has a very buttery taste). I ... dont recommend their shrimp fried rice and their kotthu Roti dishes are okay (they tend to be skimpy on proteins). A lot of the appetizers are prepared a head of time and warmed up in the microwave to be served so some of their items can be stale and dry. I suggest you either ask them when a certain appetizer was made or stick to the favorites like the Sri Lankan eggrolls, vadas (lentil fritters), and vaipans (banana fritters).
