Restaurant Thalassa - Montreal, Quebec

I've never really been a fan of Greek food, but this place made me have a change of heart. The decorations are refreshingly modern, though calming, which really sets the atmosphere for a pleasant dining experience. The waitstaff, or at least my waiter, was exceptionally friendly and made some great ... recommendations. Really, my party and I were not left wanting. Service was quick. The food was fresh, and really had a special flare to it. I ordered the fish, which was just perfect. Highly recommend for anyone who is a fish fan. If you're not a fish fan though, I'm positive you can't really go wrong with anyone thing, as I was the only one at my table to get fish, and I was not the only one extremely satisfied with my meal. To end the meal, my party and I got some desserts. I got the cheesecake, and it was one of the best things I have ever had. So, if ever you find yourself in the area, eat at Thalassa. we visited this restaurant in a busy Friday night. in no time we had toasted bread and olive oil,mixed with balsamic viniger and oregano. our waiter was a very funny and positive character. we asked him about the "nightlight" dishes. he suggested to start with a fresh Greek salad,which was absolutely fresh.the tomato's were ... just perfect and tasted good.and there was a good portion of feta on top. afterwards we had fried zukini keftedes,which had feta,onions,dill,parsley and some other spices inside. the keftedes was incredibly balanced,and not too oily. for a main dish we took one seafood musaka and one meat musaka. thalassa is the only restaurant in Montreal that serve seafood musaka and let me tell you,if you think you know everything about musaka think again. it is a bit of a risk to try to do something that is out of the ordinary, but you did excellent job. the seafood musaka was so good,better than any other musaka I have ever had including my mom's. we already booked a party for next month.
