We look for French cuisine and the experience is quite not ideal. Mostly because at the beginning my companion ask a stupid question and the server attitude turns into impatient and feeling sarcastic. That made us all become quite award for the rest of the night. Worth mentioning, I am a ... Virgo and some detail annoys me as well; the server will throw the menu to the table, and the delivery person didn’t remember whose dishes belong to whom. But when it comes to paying the bill she became over friendly. Just making us feel like we are dumb of the dinning manner. Came here for brunch and had a wonderful experience. The food was incredible, prepared with care, and reasonably priced (comparable to most other brunch places). Their ultra thick slice of French toast was airy and soft on the inside, just literally perfect especially if you have a sweet tooth. The salmon ... eggs Benedict were also wonderful. Great neighbourhood staple in Outremont where you will find a mix of usual patrons and those celebrating a special occasion. We had the asparagus appetizer, the Nordic shrimp guédille, the gaspacho and the lobster salad as a main. All exceptional. The wine list is solid. I love atmosphere of this lively place. Great service, amazing food. Fast lunch serving. I’ve got Beef tartare & matchstick potatoes together with ‘Fleur de sel’ salmon pot au feu. Tartare was super fresh and delicious. Salmon in a soup was surprisingly fresh with amazing texture: salmon was medium and melted; while ... vegetables were almost al dente, the only way you can have vegetables in the soup. Bravo! Very good calamari appetizer. The Cornish Hen as a main was nice but wish I ordered something different, like one of their tartars. The Bloody Mary cocktail was not very good, but they didn't have it on the menu, so no need to expect much from it since it was a ... favor. The floor has a very nice set of tiles, like they belong in a very beautiful vacation home. For dessert the crème brûlée was great. You'll also have plenty of wines to pick from. Read more
