Chez Sophie Montreal - Montreal, Quebec

Fantastic dinner at this small chef restaurant. The crispy egg and mushrooms were delightful, and so was the buratta on warm tomatoes. The fish and steak were great, but the start of the night was the French toast dessert. Wow.

This has been my best fine dining experience in Montreal. The presentation & exceptional taste of the food brought my taste buds to life. The waiters were knowledgeable and professional. I will be back!

We enjoyed a lovely meal at Chez Sophie. The tasting menu offered consistently interesting and flavorful selections and wine in a pleasant, upscale setting. A bit out of the way, but well worth it for a terrific experience.

The food was delicious and very well done. What made me give it a 4 Star instead of a 5 is the "simplicity" of the chef's menu. It was a 135$ menu course with great ingredients, but for that price, I can find scallops or magret de canard elsewhere for a ... better price and as good. Also, to finish with a chocolate mousse for that price was a little deceiving for me. The service was impeccable, nothing to say except how great they were. The place was pretty and clean, but I had a few problems with fruit flies and a fly inside the restaurant (they have a patio behind, they may got in through the back door). I do recommend this place for the overall experience, but I'm not sure I'll go again for the food. Read more

I have to say, this is one of the BEST restaurants I have eaten at so far. The staff is very experienced, the ambience is great and the food is amazing. Sophie having a flare for preparing good food, everything was delicious... The bone marrow, second to none, beef cheeks ... were to die for and the recommendations for the wine pairings were bang on.
