There's this guy working there he was just waiting by his counter with his arms crossed and as I entered the second cup, he immediately went to pick up his tea boxes and called his coworker to serve me as he didn't feel like serving me. His colleague was busy ... making coffee for other customers so she had to hurry and come in front to take my order. It was a weird scenario, I felt judged. No customer service from this guy. My daughter and, I were on our first trip to Canada this week and, came across this cafe. My daughter ordered 1st and, since I couldn’t decide right away, I let the lady behind me go ahead of me. We were the only ones at the counter at the time. ... Once she was done, I was ready but, no sooner than I started to give my order, a lady stepped up beside me, interrupted and, proceeded to give her order as if I wasn’t there. The cashier seemed to be a little confused but, quickly stopped, took and, made her order without saying another word to me. It was early morning and, there wasn’t that many customers but, it was awkward and, somewhat embarrassing. I felt out of place so, I decided to leave without ordering. Visited on Tuesday @ about 9:10pm. There was one customer in front of me who had already paid for her drink and the gentleman proceeded to make her smoothie as she sat down. I stood there and waited patiently and tried to make eye contact with a smile on my ... face. He never acknowledged me, even when he leaned over the counter where I was standing to grab a banana. He finished making the smoothie and called the lady over, and at this point I thought he would greet me, which he didn’t. In the meantime, I looked for a Starbucks location close by (there was one across the street, one block down). When the customer came to pick up her drink, the coworker stopped by the espresso machine and picked up a bowl and started eating (looked like yogurt or oatmeal) while I stood there at the cash. I took this cue to leave and walk down to Starbucks as my friend waited in the car out front. Unbelievable! Hopefully management sees this and can look back at video footage. Read more

My friends and I went here to get a quick cup of coffee; there were only three people in line ahead of us and we waited 30 minutes to be served! The coffees were not good for any of us; my one friend tried to return hers and they would ... not let her. Service was extremely, extremely slow, I would compare it to the DMV. You won't want even a First Cup at Second Cup! Read more

Fantastic! The people taking your orders are nice and eficient. The cake slices are abundant and delicious. Overall a good place to chill and rest from walking around the avenue.
