Restaurant Le Fripon - Montreal, Quebec

Very extensive beer list, but none were available. We tried six different times to get a beer from the list and every time she came back after a few minutes to say that they didn't have that one. We finally just got Grolsch from the tap. I ordered my steak medium ... rare and it arrived looking like it had been simmered for fifteen minutes. It was grey throughout with the fat having turned black. The replacement steak took worryingly long. And so it was no surprise that it was medium well at best. But at least it looked like it had seen a grill instead of being stewed in its own juices. Nice place near Nelson square, on daytime is nice to stay on the terrace. We tried different sides. Best were the mussels and creppes. Knoledgeble staff but kitchen was not moving that fast.

Good location... But food is average.. The best thing about this restaurant is the staff.... The waitresses are amazing kind and happy....

I went to this place with the family and they got my order all wrong. They tell you they have your beer of choice on tap and when you sit down they apologize, making it awkward for you to leave. They have disgusting food far from edible. I ordered my steak ... medium rare, it took 30mins to make and in the end was a medium well cooked steak that was served. I told the waitress about my issue and she apologized and went and got me the same steak and this time it was well done! I requested to see the manager at that time and he took the steak threw it and told me your meals today are free. When we're about to leave he rushed and told us no he can't do that anymore and wanted us to pay. Their service is horrible and slow, the manager and waitress were horrible. Save your money and go to any other restaurant beside them there are plenty! Read more
