Café de la Troisième - Montreal, Quebec

I was told to never return to this café by the barista because I realized I was a quarter short for my one drink after it was already made. He (the barista) grew notably moodier during the ordering process, despite how half the menu was no longer available. Of course, I ... hate to waste as well but his act was entirely uncalled for. I love this place and coffee. It’s like a hidden place. Because I happened to find a cafe while I was browsing the bookstore. The coffee was delicious and the staff was kind. But the price of cakes wasn’t written.

Really nice café that is a bit less busy than the other cafés in Wellington Street. The atmosphere is usually quiet because it shares the space with a great bookstore. In the summer months they also have outdoor summer chairs for you to enjoy coffee and drinks outside.

Small little cafe at back of local Verdun Bookstore. Cute, good coffee, with a nice chill (bookstore-ish) vibe. Has decent pastries and small selection of pre-made sandwiches. Not bad for working too, though not tons of seating (mainly bar/stool seating).

Great tea selections, coffee and bites, usually calm and great place to work.
