Have been ordering there for the past 18 years , very good. So little update I ordered won’t ton soup - not the first time. I orders “ the special soup” today amongst other things. The soup is usually very good. But this time the lettuce had some mysterious dark spots , ... so offer to my 3 kids , their father and my. Two of them throw it out cause rotten and I start fishing for most of the thing So I called speak to Peter and says I will credit you two soups ( at this point we decided we won’t order anymore) he puts me on hold and he says I will come and get the soup and refund you the soups , I say two soups are in the trans and there is one whole one he then proceeds to accusing me to eat the soup So after 19 years this is where I draw the line . I LOVE CAFE ASIA. Cafe Asia is a family style restaurant and it’s super cozy. We had a large group of people (10) with many requests but the owner and the staff are friendly and nice. It’s definitely one of the hidden gem on Mont-Royal. They have all kinds of ... Asian food there and we tried sushi, Pad Thai, General Tso chicken, fried rice, spring rolls, shrimp tempura and Cantonese chow mein. They all taste super good with generous portion. For me I really liked the variety on the sushi platter and they taste so good. The salmon and tuna sushi are super fresh as well. General Tso chicken is their signature dish and the sauce is exactly what I’m looking for. And if you like spicy food then you have to order the Pad Thai. 10/10 if you want some asian food for the night. P.S. I absolutely loved this place! (Both as dine-in and take-out.) There is a wide variety of asian dish at a small price! The service is great, polite; quick & efficient! The food was delicious, fresh and so tasty! We both loved it so much! The tempura shrimps were crunchy to perfection and ... the penut butter sauce on the dumpling was so smooth! I've rarely had nigiri this flavorful that melt in the mouth like these!!! We both fell in love with this place, it's food and service and we will definitely come back! Read more

I've been eyeing this place for a while amd finally decided to give this place a try since this Chinese restaurant is a unique to the types of restaurants in the area. We decided to try one of the meals for one. The food was alright for the price and ... location. Please let me elaborate. This restaurant is not found in Chinatown which would have a higher level of expectation. It is found in the Plateau Mont Royal area. This being said the food and flavour is adequate for the area. The price was average for a meal for one. I didn't leave my criteria high so I wasn't disappointed. If this was from a restaurant im Chinatown them yes I would be disappointed. Overall I was satisfied but not wowed. I will try other dishes amd hopefully be wowed by those. Read more
