Chez Thony is a Haitian restaurant in Cote-Des-Neiges. I tried the griot and I was very pleased with how tasty it was! You can really taste the marinade for this griot. This was my first experience and I was very pleased. We were well greeted by a very friendly and polite man. My mother and I ordered from their lunch "table d'hote" menu. Our salad was served with a full flavor light and refreshing house dressing. The sides of rice that came with our meals ... were amazing! Their white rice had a pleasant fragrance. The griot was juicy and moist on the inside. So tasty! The plantains were lightly crisp on outside and tender on the inside. The black pepper kidney was cooked to perfection and the texture was so satifying to chew. For dessert we order an upside down pineapple cake to share and the portion was huge! It was perfectly moist, not too dense, and sweet with a little caramelized taste. We really appreciated the little added touch of fresh flowers on each table. Excellent price for value. We can't wait to return to try everything else on the menu. Read more
