Stayed at Hotel Monville, got a reco from the waiter at their $30 buffet and came to Finca every day of my visit. Great staff, coffee, food and vibe. Hands down the best coffee shop I can ever remember going to. Every cup of filter/ drip coffee is uniquely flavorful and balanced- not a hint of the stale, burned taste you can get from coffee made in advance! Espresso? So amazingly tangy with just the tiniest punch at the end. ... We devoured so many of their top notch croissants, so many bowls of simultaneously light and decadently creamy yogurt with crunchy granola, and wonderfully satisfying and flavorful savory dishes. You can judge how well a place is run by the demeanor of its staff, and the people at La Finca were consistently friendly, excited to help, and gratified to geek out on coffee details or talk through choices no matter how long the line (which was ever-present). The same people were there day after day, enthusiastically making all the details just right as a well rehearsed team. We are sad to leave this gem behind after our 4-day visit to Montreal comes to an end, but we have been so delighted and feel very lucky to have had La Finca as a daily part of our trip. Read more

Really nice place! I love how spacious it is and the atmosphere. The biscuit was really chewy and crunchy, it was delicious! They do not allow people to use laptops (unless the place is not too crowded), so you should consider that if you want to work or study there. ... But overall, really good and I hope to go back soon! My boyfriend and I visited from Ottawa and stopped here for brunch. All I have to say is WOW. Everything about this place was perfect! Service was amazing - the staff was incredibly friendly as soon as we walked through the door. The food (we got the “Brunch” and the ... “Bagel sandwich”) was sooo flavourful and unique. The coleslaw on the bagel was such a nice touch. We ended off with a chocolate chip cookie which was perfectly crunchy and soft and some coffees. Highly recommend!! Read more
