If you are a foodie on a local eats quest, it's worth the trek out here to check out the OG location from 1929. Nearest Metro stop is Monk on the green (1) line and from there less than a 10 minute walk. Staff was friendly and super nice. The ... thing to get here is the famous Buck burger. I got the double Buck. Being served upside down just means you get the juicy patty side first when you chow down. Unbeatable first taste. One of the most mediocre burgers I've ever had, not sure why all the rave reviews. Had the spicy burger and onion rings which were okay at best, the grilled chicken burger was horrible. Do not recommend, but prices were reasonable and service was good

Food was awful. Ordered 3 Jd special subs and a family poutine. The poutine-(23$) by the way, had maybe a teaspoon of gravy and no cheese curds at all!! The subs were basically bread, barely anything inside. So disappointed. I have been coming to this place for ... over 15 years. The food used to be so good. I will never buy anything from here again. Delectable burger!!! Had the Buck burger with original bread, my husband had the same with the wet bread. The service was excellent, fast and we loved the retro atmosphere :)
