A very quaint and authentic Japanese restaurant which is a hidden gem in Montreal. We have tried many Japanese restaurants in Singapore, Malaysia, US, UK, Canada and of course Japan and this restaurant is right up there with some of the best we ever tried. The owner is so warm ... and friendly and the decor is immaculate, bespoke and so we'll thought of. The food is amazing, fresh and portion sizes are very good. Very cute and cozy Japanese spot on Parc ave. Their korokke and gyudon are great, and I’m definitely coming back for their wintermelon and lime ice tea!

Came to this place for the outstanding reviews but I didn’t really get the hype. The unagi don was $21 + tax but only came with one small piece of eel which covered 1/4 of the box. Eel was cooked okay; however, the meat was not very fresh and had ... many small bones inside. Other dishes were fine. Had an amazing experience for my mother's birthday at Restaurant Chillax! We found this lovely little place close to our hotel and it certainly did not disappoint. The portion sizes were perfect and it was some of the best Japanese food we've ever had. The service was also very friendly ... and efficient. Looking forward to coming back when we're back in town!
