My friends and I went there for the Afternoon tea (Royal Tea). I called in a couple days earlier to ask for added items (extra sandwichs and sweets) on their afternoon tea menu and they were very accomodating. They have a nice selection of tea and what made the experience ... extra special was that you get tea samples together with a short description of each tea. It was interesting to see what the tea was made of and to inhale its sweet/spicy fragrance. The scones and sweets along with the clotted cream and assorted jams were marvelous. The mini-sandwiches looked fancy and apetizing but, tasted a tiny tad bit old. Perhaps, it was prepared a bit too early in the day. Kudos to the service, which was great. We stayed a bit later and we did not feel rushed to leave. As for any afternoon tea, be prepared to splurge a bit, our bill came in to about 36$+tax/pers. (note that we paid extra for the revised menu; it usually is 25$+tax/pers.). All in all, my girlfriends and I really enjoyed our experience. This is a perfect 'date day' with friends, family, your significant other. Read more
Stayed at the Fairmont and chose this as a late dinner (9:30pm) There were about 3 other full tables so we expected to be in and out. NOPE! We waited close to 10 minutes just for our server to see us, they charge per soda (no free refills), we ordered ... soup and sandwiches and waited an hour for our food! They're sandwiches!! They don't take long to make!! Overpriced for what it was too! Don't waste your time or money there when there's a Keg across the street. This place is nothing special for dinner. Read more
Expensive, as per usual with Fairmont, but also excellent service like at most Fairmonts. I stayed here for a night with my wife and two young children and we ate at this restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The food was spectacular, the service was outstanding, and to our surprise, the ... kids ate free at dinner and breakfast. Overall great experience and worth the $$$$. Read more
Service and food was great and the ambiance was wonderful. Out of all the hotel restaurants this one is by far one of my favorite place to go.
THE place for a business breakfast meeting. Impeccable service, beautiful location. Sunday Brunch is also a treat here. Make sure to have reservations.
