Gerry’s Restaurant Delicatessen - Montreal, Quebec

My girlfriend have a crazy obsession with Chinese macaroni (which I’m pretty sure has nothing to do with China, totally a québécois delicacy) for some reasons related to nostalgia. So it’s one of the only delivery service that offer that dish! I was sceptical of the restaurant to beginning with ... because I watch to many Kitchen Nightmare episodes and when a restaurant offer Chinese, Greek, Italian and Canadian food on the the same menu it’s rarely a good sign. It’s a sign that everything’s gonna suck and it sure did! It brings me back to a time when my great grandparents knew nothing about spices and seasonings to provide the most blend recipes of all time. It took an hour to deliver a flavourless pricey meal (65$ for two meals and a very small starter). The overall experience tasted like hospital cafeteria food. Avoid it at all cost! Read more

Got the Gros smoked meat sandwich... should'a got the petite! There's just SO much meat stacked on your sandwich!! It's delicious and all, but get the petite, unless you're sharing with a family of 4,in which case you're good, lol! And you won't have room for the poutine, but that's okay, it's ... only 3-stars. the food was pretty good! overall very enjoyable and worth the price. unfortunately the service was pretty bad. the waitresses kept going to see other tables and didn't come to check on us once ☹️

My fiancé and I come here all the time! The service and food far surpass the limitations of 5/5 stars, The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive so much so that we tip 30$ every time we come. We've had almost everything on the menu and it's all prepared and quality checked ... to perfection, and if there's a issue with anything they will do everything they can to make the experience a good one. I highly recommend the Wings and Mediterranean Salad as its our personal favorites! Read more

A small gem right in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve! I always passed by this restaurant and never really thought about trying it, but I was pleasantly surprised! We ate breakfast there, prices are pretty reasonable (17-18$ per plate), quite generous, with unlimited coffee. The potatoes, oeufs bénédictines, ham and bacon were delicious!!
