I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for brunch, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The cozy ambiance and friendly service immediately put me at ease. I opted for the burrito, which was a flavorful combination of ingredients that left me satisfied. The side ... salad and fruit complemented the dish perfectly. The following week, I decided to grab a lunch box to go and was equally impressed. The lemonade was refreshing, the wrap was delicious, and the carrot cake was the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. Sitting by the water, watching cyclists go by, added to the overall charm of the experience. I have visited this restaurant multiple times now, and each visit has been consistently enjoyable. The pulled pork, hashbrowns, and sunny side up eggs were all cooked to perfection. The staff exudes warmth and hospitality, making solo diners feel welcome and at ease. I appreciate the effort taken by the waitress to help me navigate the menu despite the language barrier. The generous portions and flavorful dishes strike a perfect balance between gourmet dining and homely comfort. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I visited this restaurant for a birthday lunch, and it was a pleasant experience overall. The staff were friendly, and our orders came quickly. The quesadilla, although tasty, surprised me with its use of eggs, which was a first for me. However, please note that this place can get quite ... busy on weekends, and since it's kid-friendly, it might be a bit overwhelming if you're seeking a calm lunch spot. Read more
Fantastic service at this restaurant. It was my first time eating alone at a restaurant since I came to Canada, and they were so welcoming and warm. I know no French, so the Waitress translated the entire lunchmenu for me. She even offered to show me around Verdun someday if ... I'd like. I embarrassingly had to ask her about the percentage that came up on the screen when I was paying, and she explained to me very well how the tip system works in Canada. I was super embarrassed because I had pressed the 15% button, and with that, I gave her the minimum tip, but she was really chill about it. The food was absolutely delicious and very filling. Excellent food and service. We really enjoy coming here and have yet to find anything on the menu we didn't love. They have some good specials every now and then. Good craft beer available although somewhat expensive. Highly recommend the salmon and mango salad!
What a nice neighbourhood place. The food is great, the service both prompt and super friendly. It might be a bit further away from the big lineups for brunch on Wellington, but the food is on par with or better than all of those places. It has a nice terrasse ... up front, with lots of shade and greenery. I like going to places that are kid friendly, because I think it contributes to an overall positive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. Notably the bathroom even has a little step up for kids to use to wash their hands. While I was there, the server was nothing but nice to the wiggly little cyclist in the pink helmet who needed to make a pit stop while tandem biking with dad. Read more
