The atmosphere in the pub is lively and the food is OK. But without doubt, the server and service staff were the most miserable, on the night we have ever experienced on seven contenents. Found this gem of a pub downtown while we were visiting Montreal. It has great architecture, an unbelievable stock of scotch, friendly staff, and good prices.

When traveling in any town a visit to an Irish Pub is always in order. Le Vieux Dublin in Montreal did not disappoint. There was 1 bartender who handled a full bar & a few tables & made it look easy. There were many great Irish Whiskey ... selections & it seemed many more pint options. The customers were friendly & even bought me a couple pours of good whiskey. Lively, lots of fun, great staff especially Arlene and Mark! Truly a wonderful pub experience. My crew stopped in every night during our stay in Montreal.
