TAM DO Restaurant - Montreal, Quebec

Great family owned restaurant. Great Food quality at cheap price!

Jan 27th, 2016 My best friend came into town and wanted to meet for lunch. We decided to go to Tam Do, as I used to work in the building upstairs from the restaurant, and seeing that we both loved Asian (Thai, Japanese, Chinese etc.) it was a logical answer. ... When we got there, I found out that the previous owner was no longer involved in the business and that's when we met Anna. Anna was full of info, very talkative, friendly and informative. My friend Richard ordered a stir-fry (the type eludes me right now) and I ordered a chicken Pad Thai, as I had loved this when I had previously eaten there years ago. We both got a Won Ton soup and quickly finished it...it was HOT and delicious and we contemplated ordering a second helping, but then our spring rolls arrived. These also did not disappoint and were delicious and nice & crispy. Then our meals came. Richard loved his stir-fry and my Pad Thai was awesome!!! It was also very spicy, which I love!!! Needless to say, we were stuffed, as the portions are quite large and we had no room for that second soup!!! We then sat and spoke with Anna for about 15 minutes, but had to leave to get back to work. Overall,, extremely happy with the service, portions and quality & taste of the whole meal. Great job Anna and team!!! Since then, I have not returned to eat there but have ordered 3 times...food arrives quickly, is very hot and tasty and nothing but 5 stars!!! Good service, good food and reasonable prices. Ingredients are fresh and the marshmallow dessert is quite surprising.

Certainly not expensive and French and English are spoken at this restaurant! The food in this restaurant is always freshly prepared and served piping hot! If you visited this restaurant under the previous management, you will be pleasantly surprised by the menu size as well as the quality of the food. The ... new Tam Do Restaurant is much better! The portion sizes are big and it is as if you were eating a home cooked meal with wonderful flavors and large amounts of meat or seafood. The price is great too!
