Le Petit Sao - Montreal, Quebec

In terms of food, everything was great. The clear broth was flavourful, the noodles were cooked perfectly and the grilled chicken was also amazing. I do believe however though that the grilled chicken submerged in the soup ruined it a bit. The crisp flavour and texture were not there anymore ... so I would have prefered if the chicken was on top or on the side. In terms of price, I do find it a bit expensive, 16,50$ for a large bowl and it wasn't that large. The service finally was very friendly. Our waiters were polite, smiling ans welcominy. You order your food at the pass, pick-up and bring your own utensils to the table.. they bring your food. Then you bring your dishes back to the pass. $50 bucks for 2 sandwiches and two drinks, plus ''tip''. It's a cheap fast food model parading as authentic Vietnamese. One of the few good food spots on Île-des-soeurs. I had the coconut curry rice with tofu and the chicken Bánh mì. Both were delicious, the tofu's texture was perfect

I really enjoyed Le Petit Sao at Île des Sœurs. It’s quite informal but the decoration is carefully though out. In the summer you can sit just outside the restaurant. I love Pho and chase best phos in different Vietnamese restaurants. The Pho Soup here was delicious. I had the ... vegetarian option. The broth was yummy and the vegetables were perfect bite size - different from others I had before. It is now my place to go for Pho. Read more
