Restaurant B & M - Montreal, Quebec

I went to pick up an order. They are the most unprofessional, rude people I have ever come across. They asked me to wait at one corner. Because the food was not ready in time. Instead of apologizing, the owner goes ‘ Sir, can you pls wait on the bar, ... because you are blocking the way’. Mind you, he himself ask me to wait there. Not trying to play the race card here. The portions were large, and the food was good. While our waiter was helpful, at one point, she never came back, and we sat waiting. When I asked the other waiter for help, she told me I needed to ask my waiter and left us waiting also. I asked another ... waiter, and she finally helped to look for our waiter. Acceptable food. The experience was a 3 out of 10. For the cleanliness of the store: the plates were clean. cutlery was a total of 3/10 as I have found 3 hairs on the napkins. The forks were not cleaned properly as well as the Wine cup was abit dirty. The music in ... the store was somewhat acceptable but nothing that shows class or a high end dining scene. I had the fried calamari which showed a bland taste so you can change the saltiness to your liking but the dipping sauce was great. I also had the house salad which was not cut properly as most of the pieces were cut in huge portions which was quiet uncomfortable to eat but the sauce made up for it. For the ribeye steak was acceptable from the matter of taste. However the meat itself was definitely not a AAA meat as the cut was quite hard and filled with uncomfortable hard fat. The vegetables that were presented with the steak had a bland taste, as a hint of garlic,olive oil, and some lemon would have made the taste way better than the thing that was given. As a critic of finedining I didn't enjoy my time as there were Flies and some guy coughing and burping which almost killed my appetite. I can excuse the flies as the area where the store is located have parks nearby which can explain the flies but still not an excuse to be taken. I would like to point that the servers are the best part of the experience as they kept an eye enough and didn't bother me while I'm dining. As well as I saw them interact with other regulars and they were quiet polite and welcoming. Would not recommend for a high end dining but acceptable for a simple dining experience just don't have high expectations. Read more

Tonight we had the best meal ever at B&M. we ordered the Greek Chicken with Greek potatoes and vegetables, perfection, was delicious, generous portion. Truly excellent The second meal was a 16 ounce rib steak that was also grilled to perfection. Potatoes and vegetables were perfect. Thank you to the chef and ... staff. Well worth the money. This place is always overpriced and very inflexible when you want to make changes. I don’t like to go there because there are always issues. But when someone chooses it for their birthday brunch, I don’t have a choice and figure maybe they’ve improved. Well, no such luck this morning. I ... ordered a THREE cheese omelette for $17.00. Upon eating it, I noticed most of my bites were egg and not that ooey gooey cheese I was hoping for. I decided to unfold the omelette only to discover that (as you see in the picture), the smallest amount of what looked to be ONE cheese. $17.00???!!!! The server took it back to their chef who said he could add more cheese but he would have to charge me!! What a joke! At least @B&M Restaurant hasn’t lost their touch for disappointing customers!!
