Edit of my below review: New management - the rye toast is now half the size it used to be but it's still quiet and the service is good and the food is good. Disappointing though because thats what we really loved about it. I wish I could give ... it more than 5 stars for atmosphere. It's the only restaurant in the west island where you can have a quiet breakfast without extremely loud and inappropriate (for morning) music blaring at you amid the clatter and yelling. Their customer service is ATROCIOUS, they need to train their waitstaff in their manners. I went to get a quick PICK UP order, it was around 7$, doesn't that old waitress with grey hair get on me for not tipping on a pick up order "Yikes no tip?" excuse me? ... The manager needs to fix up and retrain everyone.The food also upset my stomach. Never coming back. Read more

Went there for breakfast over the weekend, it wasn't that busy yet took over an hour to get our meals. No wait staff in sight! Not everyone at our table got coffee or menus...it was a very strange experience. I used to love coming to this location in Kirkland, but ... sadly, I will not be returning. We ended up leaving and nobody questioned it at all, didn't even really notice. Our food was cold or burnt, cutlery was dirty, It's very sad that what was once a great place to go, is now not even on my list for breakfast places near me. I don't blame the wait staff entirely, the manager needs to step up and take charge of his establishment. I give it 1 year before it closes its doors. Not a good reputation for Ben and Florentine. First of all, we found a hair in my plate. However, this is not my main negative point about the restaurant; I understand that such things can happen. After I mentioned it, they promptly changed my plate and gave me a 15% discount, for which I am thankful. I went there ... with my 7-year-old niece, and although the restaurant wasn't very busy, it took an excessively long time for a waitress to take our order. After we ordered, the wait for our food was even longer. I specifically asked for my niece's food to be brought out quickly to ensure she had a good experience, but it took so long that she was on the verge of tears from hunger. A small grilled cheese sandwich should not take that much time to prepare. Additionally, I had to ask for every single thing, including water and coffee. This is not what I consider good service. The smoothie we ordered was tasteless; we could only manage one sip. The overall food quality could also be improved. As someone who has worked in a restaurant before , I understand how things can get hectic, but for the success of your business , please ensure your waitstaff are better trained . Read more

Typical corporate chain restaurant. No love or care for the food or for the staff. Understaffed - poor young untrained new hire with no uniform. Hey B&F, you’re serving food here, you gotta train your people. Avocado and roasted veggies served on a soggy 12 grain slice. Super underwhelming. Skillet wasn’t even ... hot like a skillet should be - they use a pristine skillet for presentation only. Give me a piping hot old iron skillet that arrives with a warning to not touch the skillet because it’s hot! Understaffed, overworked and untrained staff. Corporate greed is very apparent. 100 bucks says the reply to this review will be a cookie-cutter response… and in French (not actually replying in the language of the review - as they did in other reviews) Get it together B&F.
