Reviews for Barakat Restaurant in London, Ontario
I’ve been going to Barakat for over a decade, it’s always remained one of my favourite places. Always great food, consistent and so well priced. Ahmad that works at the Western Rd location is the best, he’s one of the reasons me and my husband continue to go there. He’s ... so friendly and personable, 5 stars for him! Read more
I used to love Barakat downtown and would sit on the patio and watch the world go by while enjoying a platter. Decided to show my daughter the original that had moved to Western Rd. I building that houses a few food choices with a seating area above and a ... patio. Not a bad concept. Ordered a Platter but asked for no rice, just lots of meat and toppings and an extra pita and they happily obliged. We also splurged on the mango juice which was basically pure mango with tiny chunks, so yummy. The meat was cooked perfectly as I remembered, no one else really does their meat this well and I wish all shawarma places knew the tricks! We didn't get enough pickles, but that's because we both adore pickles and two full sized tomato pieces. We suffered through it. The dinning area was deserted and no one else came in even though it was 5 pm. The table we sat at, first one at the top of the stairs felt like it was literally going to fall apart, but there was no other clean tables. We also found the garbage overflowing upstairs. Not dirty, but not cleaned after guests eat. Food was impeccable, but dinning area needed some love. Read more
If I could provide a feedback with minus star, trust me I would. They used to be so good couple years back but now the service has worsen by the day. I used to order from here consistently, almost every day but there’s always something missing. Sometimes chicken is missing ... from chicken poutine, ingredients missing from chicken and rice , sauces missing from the order and so on. I ordered through Ubereats today thinking may be this time they won’t miss but same thing. Half the quantity and no chicken on the poutine. I directly called the restaurant , first they admitted their mistake but started speaking rudely and asked me to report them on ubereats and hungup. Please do not order from here if you want to save money as well as want to have quality food. Read more
This was a really nice, self serve place near Western University. I really loved the vibe it was nice and quiet and we ordered their famous Lebanese cuisine. A chicken shawarma rice bowl and a falafel plate on the side, to be honest it was really delicious and food cooked ... was super fresh. I would surely recommend people to try out their food. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Barakat Restaurant, and it was truly a delight. We ordered a falafel wrap, a chicken bowl, and another wrap, and I must say, the falafel was one of the best I've had in years. Even though it was near closing time, the ... staff graciously allowed us to dine in. Their hospitality and the quality of the food made for a memorable experience. Thank you, Barakat Restaurant, for such a wonderful meal! Read more
