T&E Sushi - London, Ontario

This place is no longer open but their phone line hasn't been cut off yet. I've been here a few times and they had some things right but IMO a 2 key issues led to their demise. Good - rather than have a dinner and lunch menu, they ... had a gold and silver menu. This way you could do AYCE with "limited/lunch" options at dinner time. It's a nice feature - I don't know any other sushi places where you can get AYCE at dinner time for $15. Sushi was good too. Issues: The water tasted weird. Each time we went it had a weird sulfer taste to it. We brought bottled water after the first visit. They also had their garbage dump right under their window air conditioner. BEWARE!! I ordered through Just Eat and requested that I have nothing spicy (spicy sauce). It was clearly on the order and the receipt they had me sign. 30mins into the order I receive a call from a man saying they did not see that I requested nothing spicy and ... advised I can cancel my order. I asked them to remake the food as I cannot have anything spicy. The man said that I take the food or they will cancel!! I told the man that I will take it and wipe off the sauce because I have a friend over for dinner. The man was viciously reluctant that I just cancel and they will not remake the food because they close in 30mins (plenty of time to make a few rolls). I called to complain with Just Eat and the amazing customer service rep called Sushi T&E to inquire and she said that they were yelling at her to just cancel the order. NEVER ORDER FROM HERE, there is plenty of other sushi restaurants in London to order from. This place is a disgrace!!! Read more

Amazing service, each dish has their unique spin on it. this is far from the conformity of chain restaurants and stock sushi options. the sea scallops are worth the trip alone!

Miso was watered down. Tempura oily. Deep fried milk was disgusting. Service was poor. I didn't even try to use the rest rooms. I heard how gross it was and didn't think my stomach could handle it. Tried this place for the first time as part of a large party for friend's birthday. We never did get to eat. Apparently their priority was to attend to the main table and regulars (walk-ins) while ignoring the side tables. When we explained this to the manager, ... they insisted we had ordered food that we had not and since we waited 2 1/2 hrs, we paid for drinks and left for another engagement. This place is not equipped to handle large numbers of people and the ordering system is confusing not just to the client but to staff apparently. Read more
