Me and my date ordered The stuffed jalapenos for appetizers, then I ordered The duck breast for entree and we shared the dessert, which was The dark chocolate truffle brownie with home made icecream. The cosy rustic atmosphere is charming especially the lovely fireplace that divides the room. I wanted to try the restaurant through londionlicious thinking it would be a good opportunity with some price break. After comparing the londionlicious menu with the regular menu I discovered that there wasn't much of a ... break. Luckily the londionlicious options were off their regular menu so in that regard it was a good way to try their regular menu but at this price, might as well do it without the special event. As for the meal, my husband had the sushi tampura, which was mostly rice and barely there filling, and the falafel, which was flavorful. I had the butternut squash soup, which I found to be very filling and tasty and enjoyable. I also had the Seafood Linguine which was very flavorful and found the sauce to be light and complimentary to the seafood. We had a nice experience, but honestly didn't find the food to be exceptional for the price. I had the lobster and risotto and it was kind of a game of "find the meat hidden in the giant pile of risotto". His duck dish was beautifully presented and the meat ... was nice and tender but the dish didn't have a ton of flavor. The fish/poached egg and avocado toast was very impressive in presentation and my husband really enjoyed it. It was missing the pomegranate advertised with it in the menu which was sad for me because that's what made it seem appealing for me. They were apparently out of pomegranate but it would have been nice to be informed before we agreed to order it. Our waitress was kind but not overly attentive so we thought perhaps they were a bit understaffed last night or something. Server was friendly and recommended the crepe which turned out to be quite good. Would not recommend the calamari or butter milk fried chicken. The flavour of the chicken is too sweet for my taste and the meat was dry. The calamari flavour is unique but is overpriced for the ... portion. Read more
