My go to Chinese place moved so I tried a couple and meh. Not great. I tired Shanghai and it’s really good. I was very pleased with the quality, texture, taste, and temperature of the food. It was great. Just ordered again. It’ll be my new go to.

The staff is always friendly, especially Cindy and Zoey. I love their appetizer platter. Great portion, variety and value! I will definitely be coming back.

Shanghai is normally my go-to. I've recommended it to many, many friends, and order it frequently. It is usually very fresh and very enjoyable. However, the last two times I ordered, food was very obviously re-fried and not fresh. I order lemon chicken and the wings everytime because they're my ... faves. However, the last two times, the breading was rock hard and crumbling off and was very dark. It was very obviously old-- probably made earlier that day-- and refried so it was more than room temperature. This is very disappointing as I could not enjoy the whole meal as these were the two main things, and the rest was sides. I don't know why businesses take these short-cuts-- people can tell! So now, I am going to be hesitant ordering again, will be hesitant recommending to friends, and will probably try somewhere else next time just to be safe... My orders weren't exactly cheap, so was it really worth it, for me OR the restaurant to re-fry stuff? Read more

Been twice. I don't understand the great reviews !! The egg rolls were hard and oily and the chicken balls were like all other chicken balls. The beef chop suey it was ok... But I would of thought the overall meal would of been way better for the quality ... of reviews. I never even knew it was open i thought it was a closed up restaurant since no lights work on springbank street. We won't go back... Read more
