Kambie Chinese Restaurant - London, Ontario

Recently moved to the area and was dying to get some food from there. My fiancee is from Hong Kong/Macau so we were pleased that they had authentic dishes on the menu. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the taste and price. The fried rice was severely overcooked and the ... shrimp in the fried rice was boiled. Everything was completely under-seasoned, especially the deep fried porkchops with garlic. The leftovers were intolerable and tossed out. The meal was $80 for 5 seperate items (not full meal dishes) and by far have had better value from every other Chinese restaurant in London. If you're looking for good authentic Chinese food, go to either Congee Chan or London Chinese restaurant. For the best Canadian style Chinese food, hit up Great Wall of China. Read more

What a gem - such lovely service and care and delicious chinese food!

Pretty tasty. The 11 year old loved the black bean beef chow mein. I enjoyed the deep fried tofu with bbq pork.

This place is a family favorite! We love going here. Massive portion sizes of delicious food and a great atmosphere with very friendly staff. We went to have some of their duck dishes, and told the server that we both really love duck and it's hard to find in London. She ... suggested if that is what we were after that we swap one of our duck dishes with another one the same price. The half BBQ duck was a showstopper. I didn't have a chance to get a picture because we just started devouring it immediately! All in all, great food for great prices when you account for the massive family style portions. Oh and there is a separate "Canadian Chinese" menu still tastes good, but if you're going to Kambi, you want the authentic stuff. Read more

Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, the entire restaurant was very clean and well taken care of. The food was by far the best Asian food I've ever had, the beef was incredibly soft, juicy, most importantly plentiful and all together the best meat I've personally ever had the pleasure ... to eat.
