We had our intimate wedding reception at The Springs yesterday, and it was an excellent experience all around. The food got rave reviews from all of our guests, and the waitresses we had were amazing and so attentive. Drinks were kept full, and food came out promptly. Dean made sure ... to check on our party multiple times throughout the night as well, and was an excellent host. If planning a small wedding The Springs is an excellent choice. Their event set menu prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of food you are receiving. As an added bonus, he does not charge a venue fee. We went for Valentine's day where they had a prefixed dinner. It took 2.5 hours before we were done. The kitchen seemed to be extremely overwhelmed serving a full room a 5 course meal. An hour for a soup and salad appetizer, even longer for our main dinner, and just ... as long for dessert. We were ready to leave without the dessert by the end just as the table beside us did because of how long everything took. The honeycomb was left off the tiramisu as the menu stated, and no shrimp with the surf and turf as the menu stated. The lobster wasn't out of its shell so was an awkward thing to do during dinner, having to try and get the meat out. Didn't even end up eating it in the end as it was so overcooked and chewy, looked that way before even tasting it too. For the price, it was extremely underwhelming and disappointing as we've heard such great things and were excited to try it out. The servers were very apologetic and did a good job otherwise, my only recommendation would be to have an option of allowing the table to pour themselves water during a busy night like this as that's all I was drinking and understandably, they didn't have time to come around to refill it often. Maybe the experience is different during regular dinner service, but from my experience, I wouldn't be back, especially for a pre-fixed dinner. Read more
