The food and cocktails were outstanding. Service was fantastic. Olyvia was extremely attentive while the place was packed. Our appetizers, small plates and main dishes were each so flavorful and unique. The menu was so thoughtfully curated. We happened to stumble upon this place and it was $10 margaritas (Monday) ... which also proved to be absolutely delicious. We are quite the restaurant-goers and this place is one of the best we’ve been to in a while (coming from downtown Toronto) and will not be forgotten! Unfortunately disappointing. Service is decent but that's about it. Food is sometimes unique, but not in a particularly mind blowing way. Sadly the worst of the "nice" restaurants we have tried in London. Portions in general were much smaller than expected. Lamb sausage was the only solid small plate we got ... out of the chicken pate brulee and Bibb salad. Steak was medium well despite asking for medium rare, though the maitakes and white bean paste were good. Steak itself was not good - many sliced had extremely tough tendonous bits along with being way overcooked. Rainbow trout was also forgettable and overcooked, and the cucumber slaw was a unexciting, mostly just vinegar flavoured. Dessert was the most acceptable part. Lavender creme brulee wasn't too soapy tasting and lime coconut tart was powerfully limey, though the tart crust was a little soggy. Overall do not recommend. Read more

My ongoing quest to find delicious food in London led me here - a quaint and narrow restaurant near the market. We were lucky to visit on a Tuesday, which has a four plate + dessert prix fixe menu, great for couples. Unfortunately, despite the deal, I still felt that ... the value wasn’t there. The dishes aren’t flavorful enough, the drinks are too simple and lacking in depth, and the service was very, very slow. Things were competently made (I especially liked the steak), but nothing exciting enough to justify a return trip. Had we come any other day, my disappointment would’ve been even greater as a $150 meal would have been even costlier. Outclassed by multiple competitors just up the road, this is a miss for me. Came alone while visiting London, gorgeous little bar, intimate setting, very friendly staff who made my drink exactly as requested. The recommended specials were great, shrimp tacos and duck dumplings. The tacos were excellent, paired with a mezcalita made it feel like I was back on the beaches of Mexico despite ... being in Canada's (admittedly mild this year) winter. The duck dumplings were delicious, but it was mixed with pork and veggies, and to be honest it was not very exciting. The pork and other spices really stole the show, couldn't tell there was any duck in it. Will be visiting again next time I'm in town! Great atmosphere and delicious food and drink! Food is served tapas style with an assortment of selection. The wait staff is friendly and helpful with answering questions. We went at 9pm and a few items were sold out such as the octopus and bison skirt steak. We loved the braised beef cheek ... and duck dumplings — highly recommend! The drinks are hand crafted with care and take a little bit to come out, as well as the food. The roast bone marrow was also fantastic, although one of ours didn’t have much marrow in it, unfortunately. The staff was prompt to try to resolve even though we were just wanting to make them aware of it. We appreciated that :) Overall, it was an awesome dining experience and we would come back again. We would recommend this place to others. There is street parking or paid lots around the block. They can accommodate dietary restrictions. Read more
