This joint has always had a special place in my heart. In my college years, I used to regularly come down to watch the legendary Rick McGhie play all the favourites. It was also a spot I used to gig as well. To return to London and see that it hadn’t lost ... its charm was a welcome feeling. It recently changed hands of ownership and so far I absolutely love what they are doing with the place. Expanding their events style to so much more. Dance parties, hip hop shows, comedy nights. They even have karaoke rooms! The staff are always lovely and the food and drink selection is among the best for pubs in London. Thanks Poachers for all the good times! Read more
Food was good and service was great..ordered their Korean Fried Chicken half original and half sauced and if was tasty. Their Nachos was good too. Even though they were busy our server was checking on us a lot of times.
Best part of the place is the washroom. The washroom was cleaner and more up to date then the entire bar. Food was gross except for the french fries. The korean fried chicken had a weird ordour and was unedible.
I want to give 6 stars if can. I finally tried The Famous Korean Fried Chicken and just fell in love with it. I ordered the half crispy and half Korean-Style seasoned and, like in the pictures, it came as a complete meal package including a decent size radish pickle ... (also quite Korean style), coleslaw, french-fry, and garlic dipping sauce. It was an amazing food experience - taste just as good as how it was back in home. I think I don't need to go to Korea town in Toronto anymore for my soul food. Thanks Poacher's for adding another fantastic reason of loving Local! Read more
