Restaurant La Station - Gatineau, Quebec

I came here with family who was visiting from Toronto. All of us were super impressed by the quality of the food. It's definitely not the typical sports bar where you only get the standard pub-style foods. My lasagna, for example, tasted gourmet. I'm not kidding, I'd say it was ... better than any authentic Italian restaurant I've ever been to. Our server was 100% fluent in English and French, and I also heard other servers speaking English as well, so no one has to worry about not being able to speak French on the Gatineau side. Read more

very very good pizza. Been here many times but this was the first time, that I have tried the pizza. It was great. Had the meat lovers , well topped and excellent dough.

I've visited this restaurant many times over the years and it's a good venue for large parties. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is tasty and reasonably priced. The only thing that bothers me is the lack of sound suppression. With open spaces and high ceilings, it's always ... loud and often hard to hear. So many restaurants seem to be designed this way and it's a shame. It discourages conversations, as though the owners don't want you to linger. I would stay longer and spend more money if I could engage in conversation without having to raise my voice. But the food and service will ensure that I come back. Read more

We came in from Kingston Ontario for a dance competition. Our server, Rashad, was very polite, informative, and very, very nice to our granddaughter. She asked for chocolate milk and he brought it with whipped cream on top which really made her happy. He said the smoked meat sandwich was ... the best in town and he was right.
