Ordered delivery. By far the worst Thai I've ever had. Without question. The cost of Pad Thai like $20 and another $20 for fried rice was outrageous for the portion size in addition to being trash food. Shockingly bad. Ordered for the anniversary with my wife. I recommend the Tom Yum soup here. It's actually spicy enough and tasty at the same time. Beef skewers always a hit with the peanut sauce as well, along with the amazing fresh roti. I find their chicken skewers a bit on the drier side, along with the fried chicken. ... Laksa is also worth trying. The soup has lots of umami. Oh my gosh… Tropika is the best place for any spicey and curry cravings!! This has been the BEST food I have had in awhile. Edmonton does not really have a lot of Malaysian and Thai cuisine, but this place blows all the other places in the water! It is ... hard to pick one as one of my favourites, it is like choosing your favourite child! Everything was so rich, flavourful… like my tastebuds were given a warm welcome to a new world! What a great place for Malaysian food. We have passed this location many times and we finally visited the restaurant for an early supper. We were greated right away and seated quickly. The restaurant was well decorated and the staff friendly and accommodating. We ... were served drinks and leisurely reviewed the menu. Wow what choices!! We all chose 4 main dishes and added calamari to start and coconut rice to accompany our mains. We ordered lemon chicken, eggplant dish, noodles, and ribs. We didn't have to wait too long and our food was delivered by a cat robot. So cute and funny!!! I would totally go again to taste the soup as it looked so yummy!! We stopped over to try some Malaysian/ Thai food for lunch at this Tropika Malaysian Cuisine Restaurant in Edmonton. The place is nice and bright with lovely decor. The are lots of choices on the menu and everything look inviting. We ordered Char Kuey Teow (stir fry flat rice noodles ... with shrimp, fish cakes, egg and Chinese sausage), Sambal Kangkung (spicy water spinach /‘ong choy’), Singapore Laksa (rice noodle with prawns, fish cakes, tofu and egg in spicy coconut soup) and Tropika Fried Rice (pineapple, bbq pork and shrimp in fried rice).
