Royal Pizza - Edmonton, Alberta

I loved this place. The food was excellent, and the people were very friendly and attentive. Another impressive aspect is that you can actually see your food being made from the beginning until it is on your table. Overall, it was excellent.

Took a long time to get order. Was expecting it in 10 minutes, took over 30 minutes. The pizza though was very good. Very very cheesy. For years it has taken this location 45 minutes to order just 1 pizza and I have always wondered why. I can order from any other pizza place, or restaurant and get quoted 25 minutes for pick up. It should never take 45 minutes. We used to order from this location ... until the Edgemont location opened and this particular location is always inconsistent, usually not that great to be honest. They just fail. This time there was 8 of us so we decided to order ahead and what a mistake!! The pizza looked like actual Sh%@! I can't believe they actually served this to a customer. The royal deluxe was all burned and tasted of char rather thar actual vegetables. The Fred's special had next to no toppings and as you can see cheese is sparse. They offered to remake and another 45 minutes but at that point my children would all be in bed and how could I trust it would even be edible. From other peoples reviews sounds like they are cheating out on their toppings but still charging atrocious amounts! Needless to say I am done with this location, complete garbage from their lengthy wait times, to the pizza appearance and taste...so many other better options for price, wait times and taste! Had this last night for the first time. Place is cute, comfy. Our server was super nice even at a busy time she still came around and asked if we were doing well. The food is great I had the lasagna no meatballs, its baked with a crazy amount of ... cheese really delicious! I tried a corner of a pizza it was pretty darn good. We also had the cheesey bread also amazing!! Great experience. Will definitely be back. Ohhh also brought home a slice of carrot cake which if I'm being completely honest which I am I ate on the way home. :) Read more
