We traveled from NL to visit our son & to attend my convocation. It was a beautiful evening. Following supper, we went in search of an ice cream & landed at Sherpi’s Marble Slab Creamery in Edmonton where there are over 3000 ice cream options when one considers the toppings & ... combinations! We were a party of four; Sherpi offered & gave us umpteen generous “taste samples” until we made our individual decisions. My ice cream was divine: coffee & salted caramel combined on a cold slab with pecans & walnuts & peanut butter bits, marshmallows, chocolate chips & graham wafers with TWO cherries on top in a waffle bowl. Divine! Besides the decadent ice cream, the venue was spotless. There were large wooden platform-type benches for seating. And most importantly: Sherpi (I hope I am spelling her name correctly.) Her beautiful, welcome erupting from her soul & having the biggest smile identified her as the owner of this establishment. We felt welcomed, as though she was our best friend of many years. We shared stories & laughed. She was gentle & kind, embraced us & displayed genuine interest in us as a group & as individuals. I would choose to visit Sherpi as much for her warm welcome as the delicious, multi-choice ice cream! A FIVE GOLD STAR, exemplary experience over an ice cream!!! Read more
