Given how solid the YEG Vietnamese food scene is, I left shocked how embarrassingly bad our lunch was here. The “Beef Pho Satay” was weak, flavourless and poorly made. The razor thin strips of beef were akin to small patches of overcooked leather. I ate the noodles - ... and left the broth and beef mostly untouched. Which is a rarity - as I typically leave no trace of pho satay given it’s one of my fav dishes. We also ordered iced coffees - HOW DO YOU MESS THIS UP? Both were undrinkable and didn’t filter properly - even after waiting 35 min for them to drip- and the staff, who avoided us our entire stay, could only offer more ice and were not interested in owning up to their abysmal effort to host us.
