Went for Father's Day brunch today and everything was wonderful. They were sold out of the special short rib hash that they had for Father's Day which was a bit disappointing. Instead we both had the chicken and waffles which we both very much enjoyed. My partner had coffee, saying it ... was excellent. I had a spirit free cocktail made with yuzu and it was also delicious. Visited Hart’s for Sunday brunch and was impressed by the decor and atmosphere, a little lighter and brighter than the sports bars we are used to visiting in suburban strip malls. Their website says their aim was to create the feeling of your own living room, which I feel they ... have succeeded at, insofar as a restaurant can really feel like my living room! I got the Carrot Cake Pancakes, which were excellent, nicely presented and very filling, in fact, I wasn’t able to finish them. I like to try new things and enjoyed that these were different from the usual buttermilk pancakes. My daughter had Eggs Benny, which she said was excellent and her fiancé had a burger and fries, which he enjoyed. Their portions were very large. Service was very good and prices were par for the course for this type of place. Also, I like to support local businesses and Hart’s is owned by a local company who operate several restaurants in the Edmonton area. Read more

My visit to Hart's Table and Bar in Edmonton had its ups and downs. While there was a hair in my food, I appreciated that the staff promptly replaced the dish. However, the incident did affect my overall dining experience. Overall the restaurant's food was tasty and the ambiance were ... good. After the hair incident, they not only replaced my dish but also didn't charge me for it. This gesture goes a long way in showing their commitment to customer satisfaction.
