Dairy Queen Grill & Chill - Edmonton, Alberta

So to get a six-piece chicken strip basket now is like $14 or $15 which is absolutely ridiculous but I have this thing for the buffalo chicken strips there so we go today and we order three baskets to go Two with onion rings one with fries she asks us ... if we want a bag so we just spent like almost $50 on three chicken strip baskets And I say yes please I'd like a bag and she's standing there waiting for me to give her the $0.15. Which I don't by the way it's the principle of the thing. I won't even tell you how bad it got when the five little ranch things fell over the car but anyway to make matters worse when I get home with my friend and to give the food to my son I look inside and the chicken strips that are in there are about two and a half to 3 in long normally there's six or seven inches long but they're literally 3 in long they're overcooked or at least the ones with out sauce were overcooked and the ones that had sauce on them were undercookedand they literally gave us eight onion rings each and four of which out of the two of us they were raw so they were unedible so it was the most pathetic terrible embarrassing for dairy Queen they should be ashamed of themselves meal I've ever had probably at any fast food restaurant ever Read more

My first review ever, but I couldn't hold my self, 4 times in a row the mess up my order and whe. I say mess up I mean the take something out, a sauce that we paid for, a chicken strip... until I started to feel they do this deliberately... This is truly the worst DQ we have ever been to. Unfortunately it is our neighborhood one and we keep going there thinking it will be better. Besides that every time we get blizzards and peanut buster parfaits are always super meltie as if their machines are not cold enough ... or somethjng. They never even flip over the blizzards to do the test because we are sure it would spill all over. Tonight was the last straw. Husband went in to surprise the family with blizzards. He was trying to take advantage of the $1 promo but was told he needed to download the app. So he stepped aside, downloaded the app and made his mobile order to pick up inside. He stood there for 15 minutes, he was the only one in the shop. And when he finally went to inquire about his order, he found that the front staff had the order ready but didn’t call him over. She didn’t make the connection that the only guy standing in the shop was waiting for the only mobile order melting away on the counter. Our order was completely melted and inedible. No apologies, just oblivious lack of any customer care. This location should be embarrassed at the quality of their food and their beyond abysmal service. I do not recommend. Read more

Came in at 7 pm on a Sunday night, obviously a quiet time. I ordered a single mushroom cheeseburger, which it turns out the guy somehow heard as a triple burger. We also ordered a bacon cheese burger and a poutine. The guy who took our order disappeared to the drive thru ... window, so when our food appeared at the pass through, it sat under the heat lamps. And sat. And sat. A customer came in and waited at the register hoping to order, and eventually gave up. I tried calling out to the employee who could see me standing there waiting, and finally the girl in the ice cream area came out and handed me my food. Apparently the guy who could see me was on a break. That's when I realized that I had the wrong burger, so I had to go back up to get their attention again. At least I was able to get a hot replacement burger, unlike the congealed poutine that had sat for several minutes. Save yourself the headache and use the drive thru, as that's those are the only customers they seem to care about. Read more

Decent food for the price. We ordered the 2 cheese burgers for $9. The meat was a little dry but thicker than McDonalds. The taste is pretty much the same. We also ordered poutine. Also decent but I think Harveys is a little better. I ... think DQ is a good restaurant for grilled food but their specialty is still ice cream. Was too full to try that. Read more
