Sawmill Prime Rib & Steak House - Edmonton, Alberta

Steak was great. But did they really serve sauce in an 18$ appetizer out of a plastic cup. Like what?!? Also very disappointing peppercorn sauce. This place ain’t what it used to be back when it was Moose Factory.

I love the sawmill, always have. I don’t come here expecting majorly exquisite food, but I do expect great tasting food for what I’m paying. My experience today was very enjoyable as the servers were attentive and friendly; giving us a quick rundown of what the buffet served today. My ... only inhibition is that it’s typical buffet food; nothing special. The breakfast portion was great, hashbrowns were especially crispy and well seasoned. I didn’t like that our party of eight was sat in a room with 3 tables of other larger parties, not much elbow room. 2-stars for atmosphere because of that, and because the bar TV’s are blaring MMA, the waitresses are provocatively dressed, and because they advertise their strip club right when you walk in. A definite, repeat ... What a fantastic night! friends,food and laughter, doesn't get much better. Entertainment , couldn't stop laughing. A nice a cosy venue. Food was great and served hot 😁 well done!!

The ribs and steak came out and wasn't hot. The stake only tasted like it had salt and pepper very bland. However it was the right texture and there's sawmill steak sauce made up for it lacking flavor The ribs are nowhere comparable to somewhere like Tony Roma's they just tasted way ... too barbecue sauce like... They had this corn and vegetable fried something it just tastes like it was cooked in an open camp fire charcoal and gross. However the highlight of the night was there Brussels sprouts absolutely delicious Best Brussels sprouts I've ever had in my life. My wife said her chicken cordon bleu was okay nothing to write home about However presentation of the food and plating it definitely a 10 out of 10 but when you go out and spend $115 on food you don't just expect it to look pretty you expect it to be excellent and I just didn't find that it was at all overall rating for the taste was probably 5 out of 10 Read more

Sawmill has always been a famous restaurant since my last visited Edmonton 10 years ago. We ordered a 16 oz prime rib. The taste of the steak was rich and Flavorful, while the thickness and diameter were perfectly cut.
