Sitting here at Boston pizza with my partner and his daughter. There is only one girl working the front of house for both the lounge and the main dining area. Took almost 20 minutes after being seated for her to take our drink orders. Then took another 15 minutes for ... our drinks to come. The girl says that all the front of house staff called in sick. She is doing a great job for what she has to deal with. But what really disappoints me is that there is no sign of a manager anywhere. I used to work for a Boston pizza years ago and if we had staffing issues the managers would always start working the floor taking orders and serving food. There is a serious lack of service here. Wanted a table in restraunt for a quick, relatively quiet meal. Instead I was directed to the lounge where I had to put up with a tonne of noise from first a turned up stereo and then a hockey game I could have cared less about. All I wanted was a ... meal. This Boston Pizza's service was horrible. We took our U18 Boys team there after playing at Volleyball Nationals. There were empty tables and we were told the wait time would be 25 minutes. The restaurant manager came to speak to me and told me the kitchen couldn't ... handle our group. We didn't need to be a group.. we just needed to feed 12 starving boys!! This was at 930 pm. They did proceed to seat us but then they wouldn't take our order for 20 minutes. One of our volleyball managers ordered a Vodka Caesar. When I asked for one, I was told they were out of vodka. So I ordered water. Funny thing is.. .when the volleyball manager finished her Caesar, the waitress asked her if she would like another!! The restaurant manager was not happy with the way I treated him but I was not happy with his attitude. Terrible Customer Service, I have never been treated so poorly. Decided it would be so nice & easy to order off their website. The website was great for ordering and it gives you the option of choosing when you want to pick up. I thought that was perfect, set it for supper time and had planned on being there to ... pick it up. Well before my order was supposed to be ready I receive a call from them saying it was ready for pick up. I said I was concerned because by the time I would be able to get there and pick it up stuff like fries would be soggy. They said they would remake the order but when I picked it up it had obviously been sitting a long time. Totally not impressed. Would not go back. Read more
