Cactus Club Cafe - Calgary, Alberta

My partner and I are from Australia and we have been wanting some good quality food since we’ve arrived but haven’t found anything too satisfy that taste yet… we had glanced at the menu online before deciding to make the reservation, we had our hearts set on the Parmesan chicken ... and eye fillet steak, not expecting anything special. When we arrived we were greeted with excellent service, and quickly attended too for drinks and food. Our cocktails were absolutely Devine!! (highly recommend the jalapeño margarita), our entree was the new summer cervachie **definitely spelt that wrong** which was so delicious ! 10/10 It was fresh, flavoursome and light before our main course. We of course had to order what we went there for (The chicken and steak), and Oh. My. God. Both of these dishes were AMAZING! I personally wanted to shake the hands of all the chefs who created the most DELICIOUS food for us! We were completely satisfied and the portions were perfect! Truly could not fault a single thing. We didn’t have to wait long for anything we ordered, and of course we had to finish it off with dessert, the lava cake, just like everything else… it was amazing! We had an outstanding experience at Cactus Club Barlow! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The service was impeccable throughout our meal — our server, Sydney, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was absolutely delicious! Each dish was prepared with ... care and fresh ingredients, and the presentation was impressive. The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for a relaxed yet upscale dining experience. The decor was tasteful, and the atmosphere was inviting without being too noisy. We'll definitely be looking/requesting for Sydney on our next visit, and you should too! Read more

I recently visited Cactus Club and had a delightful experience. The food was exceptional, with the chicken teriyaki rice bowl and key lime pie being the highlights of my meal. We started with the chicken and pickles, which were super good. The chicken teriyaki rice bowl was delicious and had a ... perfect balance of flavors. It was a little saucy, but in a good way that enhanced the taste without overpowering it. The chicken was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, making every bite enjoyable. The key lime pie was a standout dessert. The whip cream on top was amazing, with little crunchy pieces that added a delightful texture to each bite. The filling of the key lime pie was unlike anything I’ve ever had before—creamy, tangy, and absolutely delicious. It’s definitely a 10/10 dessert. Although we had to wait about 10 minutes for our reservation to be ready, it was not a major inconvenience. The service was average, but the delicious food made up for it. I absolutely love Cactus, plain and simple. This location is my go-to for any occasion—whether it's a Mother's Day dinner, a quick catch-up with friends, or a birthday celebration. The food never disappoints; it's become my ultimate comfort food. On my latest visit, I indulged in their wings, mini crispy ... chicken sandwiches, and fries. I went there with my friends for the first time. I must say that the place was very well organised and friendly staff to start. We sat in the indoor patio and the ambience was lovely. With the excellent service from Shawn we enjoyed best starter dishes i can honestly ... remember. I was impressed with the quick service of food considering how busy they were due to long weekend.
