Went to all you can eat fish and chips night. Everything was fine until we asked for more fish and were told if we didn't eat every last bite of the extra fish that we would be charged for the extra pieces. $30 meal to begin with, coleslaw now am ... extra, and felt like we were being treated like children. It basically ruined the evening. Bill came and all extra pieces were billed and then discounted because we ate everything. Left knowing it was the last time we will be eating at Joey's. Did not feel valued as customers. Nothing bad to say about the food or the service but this policy is condescending and demeaning to customers. a very poor decision. Read more
My wife has been on me to check out Joey's for a while now. I've had a personal boycott with them for quite some time... close to 20 years, actually, as I got a very bad case of botulism from eating there. Well, as often is the case, the wife won. ... We went to the McLeod Trail location for fish and chips. I'm happy to report that Joey's won me back as a customer. The food was really good (the fish tacos are incredible! ), the portions were huge, and the service was pretty good, being there was only one server for the entire place. So overall, it was a 4/5 meal. I'm sure we will be back as there aren't a lot of options to fill those fish and chips cravings in South Calgary! Read more

You may describe the flavor as neither too salty nor too bland. Fish Freshly made The fries are delicious and well seasoned; I'll definitely be ordering them again. ☺️👍

Fish and chips with shrimp. Pakora Battered fish along with the Mango Pickle Tarter Sauce. Incredible! Shrimp in garlic butter. Opted for Mashed potatoes for a side. Recommend trying Around the World new flavors. Service perfect The meal came hot.
