New York Fries - Calgary, Alberta

It's been a long time since I've had NY Fries but was in the mood for comfort food (and good fries). I ordered a Flamin' Bacon premium hotdog which had chipotle aioli, peppers, bacon and a regular fries. The food was ready quickly and service was good. Biting into the hotdog, it ... wasn't hot (warm but barely) but had a decent amount of toppings. I didn't find it spicy but it was still good. I would have preferred a warm bun as well. The fries were as good as I remembered. I asked if they still had California seasoning (what I remember loving as a kid), and was given a packet to season with (could also choose Cajun flavoring). The soda came in an interesting looking cup/box combo that eliminates the need of a plastic lid which I would love to see as a norm elsewhere. Read more

Last couple times I got a classic poutine the fries were clearly not cooked. They were still cold. Watched the employee take some fries out of the deep fryer basket to put in my container and then put the fry basket back in the deep fryer to finish cooking. I ... would rather wait a few minutes to get properly cooked fries that I am paying for. There wasn't anyone behind me so I don't know what the hurry was. Read more

By far the best Fries in town! Fresh and Savoury! Appreciate the staff who were apologetic because they run out of ice tea. Which was okay! Great customer service. Kind and respectful! Growing up eating on this location. The food is great. I love the regular classic poutine with bacon and green onions on it, hotdog with cheese and ketchup and chocolate milk (before). The staffs are so awesome, very friendly and nice. Keep it up!

This is not a place to go for pickup as a delivery driver. The staff members at this location are grumpy 😠 and always ask the driver to confirm pickup before handing the food to the driver. When I said I could not confirm before I picked up the ... order, the person I communicated with was rude. In addition, I was given a bad rating and reported as unprofessional by the restaurant. The rating should be the reverse; I should report them that way. The problem is that delivery platforms don't allow the drivers to rate the restaurants. I recommend that delivery drivers avoid picking up from this restaurant. Read more
