Purdy’s Chocolates - Calgary, Alberta

This is our icecream place to go to when visiting market mall. Been going there for years and always dealt with friendly staff members. Today the service was terrible, and the cashier (woman in her 60's) was rude, and arrogant, ruining our family experience at Purdys.

I had a very good experience here. We ordered ice cream and my kid wanted a flavour that has a problematic ingredient for her at some stores. the staff overheard and went to look up the ingredients for us and she got to have the flavour she wanted. we got ... the cups with the chocolate on top but we will have to come back to try the bars or maybe the chocolate! Was a childhood favourite and still is. The scoop and price is reasonable for ice cream now a days, and it’s great that you get a topping too! (the almonds/nuts are my go to, highly recommend!) I like that their ice cream flavours are still relatively simple and always enjoyable

The obtuse African-Canadian woman accused me of cutting line but when the woman behind me confirmed I had not cut and I was waiting patiently, she looked like a fool. Had great Easter stuff this year and plenty in stock which is great! Staff is friendly and store is clean. The guy who helped me was Kyle and he was fantastic!! He went the extra mile to help me find what I needed and knew a lot about specific chocolates ... in each box. Live in the south but will buy next years Christmas stuff at this location for sure!
