Original Joe’s Restaurant & Bar - Calgary, Alberta

I frequent this location and I've never had a bad experience. The service is very nice and quick, and they check on your table often. The location is clean and well maintained, can sometimes be a little loud, as sports type bars and restaurants can be. I love coming here ... for the "patio season" as they have a lovely little outdoor area that looks down on some of the water features present in the Aspen area. The food is always yummy and comes quickly, I usually get very similar things as I know they'll be good. They also have a nice selection of cocktails and craft beers on tap here, if alcohol is your thing. Would recommend for a lunch or dinner with some friends, or even by yourself. Read more

We go here often, mostly for appies during happy hour and love the place. The food is always delicious. Service is very prompt, attentive but not overly intrusive either. And the atmosphere is cozy with many private booths, great window views of the Aspen Landing ... pond with many large screens for anyone liking a big variety of sports, blooper and best stunts etc. The manager is super personable and today was actually our waiter as well as tending bar and seamlessly managed it all without breaking a sweat and the restaurant was decently full. Our waitress this evening was a Gem. Came here with family, my grandmother is slightly hard of hearing and she made sure to be right next to her when asking what to drink and order rather than shouting across the table. I couldn’t remember her name but she deserves a ... shout out!! She was tall, long hair, rose quartz bracelet and sparkly nails. Highly recommend trying the fish tacos. Read more

My friend and I visited Aspen Landing Original Joe’s yesterday on a Wednesday night! We sat on the patio and was served by a lovely waitress! For drinks we had a Diet Coke with lime and a virgin Patio Joe! We then shared the calamari, Brussels sprouts, bruschetta, and honey ... garlic chicken wings! Came to try it out because I had some time to kill. Had the steak sandwich with fries and mixed greens. 10/10 steak was cooked perfectly and the fries were to die for! Super crispy and well seasoned. Came around 4pm and it was semi busy definitely not too loud ... or crowded. Staff was attentive and not hovering over tables. The design allows for great airflow which was terrible for this cold snap! Great menu selection and service was very fast. Would definitely visit again Read more
