Hotel Blackfoot Poolside Patio - Calgary, Alberta

When I booked the hotel, the website said "Book your stay in June with us and enjoy a complimentary breakfast on us!". Because the message was ambiguous, I called the hotel and the front desk told me that I did not need to book the package with the breakfast rate, ... any rate would work and every occupant will get a breakfast. When I checked in, however, front desk manager Mario Hidalgo told me that I had to book the breakfast rate to get free breakfast. When I told him about my phone call with the front desk the day before, he went on to insult me that "Well, I don't even know if you had really called". He was accusing me making this conversation up. I told him I don't remember the name the front desk lady who answered my phone but I can show him my phone record the time that I called and he could track down who answered my call. He did not want to do that and treated me like I tried to scam them. I was very angry by his discriminative attitude toward me and the situation and I canceled my stay right there. I asked for his manager's business card and he gave me one. I tried to called that number but no one ever picked up the phone. Will never stay here and never recommend this to anyone. Read more

Very enjoyable experience, is most definitely high class. They don't have a free continental breakfast. At one point in time it looks like they may have but not sure. Rooms where very clean, bathroom had 1 long hair in the shower, and the shower door leaked unfortunately. Beds are very comfy, ... not too soft, pillows where way to big. Read more

Customer service was unexpected, wifi was unstable. The website had a promotion for free breakfast but they had to argue with you before they gave you this promotion. The breakfast buffet regularly was $22 per person, not worth it.

I travel a fair bit, and the Blackfoot is by far, my favourite hotel to stay in. All the restaurants on-site are great. The rooms are always clean and tidy, the beds are comfortable. Everyone is friendly. The ladies at the Otherside are always so kind and attentive. I've stayed ... here several times and always look forward to coming back. Read more

The hotel was very clean and looked newly renovated. Check in was fast and easy. The lady who checked us in named “ CATE “ was kind, professional, and efficient. “ ELEANORE” the Night Auditor was also personable and polite.
