Wow - the food here used to be some of the best pub food in town but has it ever done a downhill slide! Lunch for 2 last week was an utter disappointment, super dry everything. Wow, loved the ambience, servers were great. Worst pub food in decades. The quality was atrocious. We had the wings and dry garlic ribs, pretty standard pub grub. Horrible. The Garrison Pub & Eatery was a wonderful experience. The service was top notch and very friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The decor was bright and paid tribute to military veterans of the past. I had the house burger which was amazing, made from fresh ground beef ... and absolutely loaded with toppings. A really small quaint cute pup. But truthfully what I consider the best local pub in all of Calgary. Food is so good!! Their daily food specials especially the fried chicken is to die for! Some really good bar food. It seems to be made in house (ex: fries don't look like McCain. Beef patties don't taste like store bought rubber burgers). The Garrison Burger was great. The fries really good too.
