Boston Pizza - Calgary, Alberta

I’ve been here a few times and the food is always good and the service is not great most of the time. Really hit and miss on that. I don’t know if they are short staffed or just forgetful but my family has paid for our drinks and walked out ... before getting food because it took so long or was forgotten about about a year ago. We didn’t come back for a long time after that experience here. I had another couple visits with just me and my kids a couple months ago that went better. Then we tried again last week and it was just total chaos and our appetizer and drink re-orders were forgotten about, then when we finally got a chance to say so they were made twice but instead of giving the second one they made by accident after all the bad service and we said we would happily keep it they took it back to the bar anyway. We got our food by the time we realized the appetizer was forgotten so we just cancelled it. Keeping the accidentally twice made drink that was probably going to be dumped anyway may have made up for that a little but alas, they did not leave that for us. The Italian honey drizzle pizza was awesome. I wish I took a picture. So so good. One of my new favourite pizzas. My kids always like the cotton candy drinks. We will probably not try this location again for a while. Maybe it will get better. They need to get it together a bit. It wasn’t the best experience any time so far. Everyone working seemed stressed out, not a relaxing environment. Don’t forget about your customers when you get a new or bigger table. Smaller tables matter too. Everyone should use a notepad. Might stop all the stuff being forgot about lol. Also I watched the hostess clean the table but it was not properly cleaned when we sat down and I had to brush crumbs off it. This past time the service got better near the end. Maybe as the rush dies down or their big table finished up. But it should be staying consistent. Literal of paper parchment inside the chocolate brownie / ice cream dessert I got. Told the waitress and she didn’t seem to care, said “Oh it’s probably parchment paper we use for the ice cream”. The French Onion Soup was excellently prepared. The Carbonara Pizza tasted very good, but was a bit over-baked and on the dry side. The waiter was friendly and very attentive. Their Spicy Perrogy Pizza is still my favourite!

Awesome experience.. we went for girls get together.. great food and yummy 🤤🤤 drinks.. Boston pizza is our all time favorite family - friends restaurant.. Always a treat ✨✨

UPDATE: Came with both kids. Was empty until church led out, and a nice trickle of customers came in. Food was consistently good, and there was a deal on the Boston-Sized Burger. Bonus! I was with the little one while everyone else was busy, so I thought to take her to ... this Boston Pizza. I got the Boston-Sized Burger and upgraded to Cactus Cut Potatoes. My little one got the Crispy Chicken Fingers with Fries and Sundae. The Boston-Sized Burger came with 2 patties and packed with condiments and toppings. It was a good size and filled me up. The patties had a decent beef flavor and weren't dry. The Cactus Cut Potatoes were crispy and came with the yummiest dipping sauce. My kid enjoyed her Crispy Chicken Fingers. I took a bite and found they were actual chunks of meat with a nice flavor. The fries were good, too, from the 2 that I grabbed off her plate. Finally, the Sundae came with unlimited toppings, though my daughter only wanted Oreo crumbs and M&M's. She didn't finish the Sundae cause it was bigger than a McDonald's soft-served cone.
